Group archery in Klaipėda

Planning a team outing, birthday or family get-together? Contact Klaipėdos lankininkai to discuss the possibility of arranging an archery session for your group.

What should you include in a group enquiry?

The more clearly you describe your group, the easier it will be to discuss suitable arrangements. In your first message, include:

  • Your preferred date and alternatives. If several days or times would work, list them.
  • The approximate number of participants and their ages. Mention from the outset if children or teenagers will be taking part.
  • The occasion and your expectations. Are you planning a birthday, a team get-together or a family outing?
  • Archery experience. Tell us whether everyone will be holding a bow for the first time or whether some people have tried archery before.
  • Individual needs. Mention any accessibility, communication or other needs that are relevant to taking part.
  • The organiser’s contact details. Leave a phone number or email address so we can discuss the arrangements further.

Birthdays, colleagues and family outings

A birthday get-together

If you would like to include archery in a birthday celebration, tell us who will be taking part and how it would fit into the rest of your day. For a group of children and adults, it is important to discuss ages and supervision in advance.

A company or team event

For a team get-together, tell us the total group size and how flexible your arrival time is. If archery would be part of a larger event, explain where it fits into the schedule so we can discuss a realistic plan.

An outing with family or friends

A group may include people of different ages and experience levels. Describe the whole group, including anyone who would only like to watch. This will help us discuss the arrangements for shooting and waiting in advance.

How should participants behave during a group session?

An introduction to archery begins with an explanation of the safety rules, the shooting area and the session leader’s signals. Everyone in a group needs to follow the same rules: one person’s actions affect everyone in the shooting area.

  • Shoot only from the designated position and when given permission.
  • Always point the bow towards the targets, never towards people.
  • Nock an arrow only when standing on the shooting line and after the session leader’s signal.
  • Approach the targets only when shooting has stopped and permission has been given to collect arrows.
  • If you are unsure what to do, stop and ask the session leader.

The group organiser should also pass the agreed arrival details on to all participants. Spectators must stay in the area designated for them and follow the session leader’s instructions.

A group session or regular training?

A one-off session is a chance to discover the sport and try a new activity together. Regular training focuses on a repeatable shooting technique, individual adjustments and steady progress. An introductory session does not replace ongoing learning.

If you would like to train regularly or are interested in membership, read our training information and mention your goals when you contact the club.

Let’s discuss your group’s plans

Before visiting, agree on the date, who will be taking part, the exact meeting point, the duration, the price and the use of equipment. With these arrangements in place, you can give everyone in the group clear information.

Frequently asked questions

Can I enquire about a group session if nobody has tried archery before?

Let us know in your enquiry that the participants are beginners. Include the number of people and their ages so we can discuss how to organise an introduction to archery.

Can I enquire about archery for a birthday or a company team event?

Yes. Tell us the occasion, your preferred date and who will be taking part. We can then discuss the possibility of including archery in your event.

How can I find out the price and length of a group session?

Tell us how many people plan to take part and when you would like to visit. Discuss the price, duration, location and practical arrangements with the club before planning your visit.

How does a group session differ from regular training?

A one-off group session is an introduction to archery together. Regular training focuses on learning and steadily improving shooting technique. If you are interested in further training or membership, mention this when you contact us.
