Our renewed website: get ready for your first archery session
We want your introduction to Klaipėda Archers to begin before you arrive at the range, with clear answers and a sense of what to expect. That is why we invested in a renewed club website: a welcoming place for beginners, families and visitors to plan their first archery session.
Working with our website partner Web Aloha, we replaced the previous WordPress website with one built using Astro. We focused on the questions that matter when you are considering a visit: how to start, what to bring, where we train and how to reach us.
Try archery before choosing your equipment
Our beginner’s guide walks you through a first session, from the safety briefing and learning how to stand and hold a bow to your first shots at close range. It helps you picture the experience even if you have never held a bow.
Your first trial session is free, and we provide training equipment to get you started. There is no need to buy a bow beforehand or guess which one will suit you. Wear comfortable clothing that lets you move freely. If you decide to continue, you can discuss your own equipment with a coach later.
A useful starting point for families
Our guide for parents explains training, equipment and safety. We welcome members from age 12, so it is particularly useful for families looking for an activity for a teenager. Read it together, talk about what interests you and bring your questions to the coach.
No previous archery experience is needed. Contact us before your first visit, tell us who would like to try it and arrange a time. That gives us a chance to answer the questions that matter to your family.
Check the training location before travelling
The About page combines our club story with practical information about seasonal venues. From March to September we train at the Smiltynė sports base; from October to February, training takes place at Mainų g. 5 in Klaipėda. Whether you are crossing the city or planning a short stay, knowing the venue helps you plan the journey.
Our Contact page brings together the phone number, email, enquiry form and frequently asked questions. Please agree on a time and confirm the location with us before setting off. Individual sessions are arranged separately.
Share a guide in a familiar language
The website is available in Lithuanian, English and Russian. When reading an article, you can use the language selector to open its translation. That makes it easy to share the beginner’s guide with a family member or a friend visiting Klaipėda. On your phone, you can read the preparation advice and go straight to our contact details.
